Urge Lego to expand the Jurassic World theme

The Issue

As a dedicated fan of both the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World franchises, I've been eager to see more attention given to the Lego Jurassic World theme. The vast and exciting universe of Jurassic Park has so much potential for more Lego sets inspired by iconic moments from both the original trilogy and the more recent movies, as well as animated TV shows. However, the lack of consistent releases every year and the limited availability of specific species have left many fans wanting.

There are countless possibilities for new and exciting Lego sets. From iconic scenes of the first sequels like the Isla Sorna Game Trail or the Spinosaurus plane attack , there’s a treasure trove of inspiration to draw from. Furthermore, some dinosaur species, such as the Gallimimus and the Ankylosaurus, are becoming increasingly rare and harder to acquire. Their availability being in discontinued sets from 2020 only makes the problem worse. If we can get other dino figures released with different printing and in other sets why not other one set species from previous years ?

Some species from the JW Dominion wave of sets could also be rereleased for JW Chaos Theory. One of the sets could be large truck with the Handler and Brooklyn along with all four of the Atrociraptors in the crates. Another could be with Bumpy, Blender, and Baby Smoothie providing fans with not just two Ankylosaurus but two in one set. The Pyroraptor can be in a set with Kenji, Sammy, and Gia. The Giganotosaurus and Therizinosaurus (without the raptor legs )could be in another set together.

Since it is crucial for all collectors and enthusiasts alike who wish to build accurate and comprehensive dinosaur-themed collections. They still have yet to release a set with Parasaurolophus and the Compies as well. Which many fans are still waiting for.

Since some have gotten disappointed by some like the new Stegosaurus mold. Lego can refine this and make a tweaked design ( being able to swing its tail back and fourth) for a set based on the scene from The Lost World Jurassic Park , where Sarah Harding encounters a group of Stegosaurus and its young.

With the introduction of the new Lego Spinosaurus, now is the perfect opportunity to create sets from Jurassic Park III. Younger fans, nostalgic adults, and collectors all stand to endorse this. However, if Lego waits too long, the unique molds required for these sets could become unavailable, leading to a missed opportunity. It's vital that these molds get produced and released soon rather than waiting until the films' 30th anniversary in 2031, when the Spinosaurus mold might no longer be in production due to Lego's policy on unused product molds.

By expanding the Jurassic World theme, Lego would not only satisfy existing fans but give us more. This expansion would showcase the magnificent world of Jurassic creatures and provide both entertainment and collectability. Also if the prices are going to be higher the quality should be the same as well. Since the recent JW Rebirth molded dino figures had only minimal paint work that could have been better.

  • The T Rex had the same color from its skin for its claws and teeth , when in the past it was different.
  • The Velociraptors were shrunken down but not given painted claws.
  • The Titanosaurus did not have its claws painted.

Let’s come together and urge Lego to seize this moment and invest more in the Jurassic World theme rather than the Harry Potter theme. Please sign this petition to show your support for a broader Lego Jurassic World lineup. Together, we can make a case for the future of our beloved theme. Join me and other fans worldwide in this quest to bring more adventures into our lives with Lego!
