Being Sudanese, witnessing the ongoing violence and suffering of my people is unbearable. The situation in Sudan and Congo has reached catastrophic levels. According to reports by international organizations, millions have perished and millions are displaced due to relentless violence. These conflicts have led to one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time, with resources becoming increasingly scarce and the threat of disease looming large. It's estimated by UNHCR that over 1.8 million people are displaced in Sudan alone. In Congo, the United Nations reports daily threats to civilian life due to ongoing militia attacks.

This petition demands immediate action for a ceasefire from world leaders, particularly those with the power to influence and broker peace. History has shown us the power of international pressure and unity. Sanctions, diplomatic interventions, and peacekeeping efforts must be employed decisively. The voices of the Sudanese and Congolese people are crying out for a cessation of violence, and international attention is crucial.

Moreover, we must push for humanitarian aid corridors to be established to provide much-needed relief to the millions affected. Access to medical care, food, and shelter is fundamental and must not be hindered by conflict. NGOs and international bodies must be granted unfettered access to perform this life-saving work.
