I am deeply dismayed by the recent comments made by President Trump, where he brazenly insulted our valiant troops, labelling them as cowards and incapable. These words cut deep into the hearts of those who serve our country with unparalleled bravery and dedication. Imagine the emotional turmoil and distress these words have caused to the families and relatives of our soldiers, who risk their lives every day to protect and uphold our values.

It is with profound respect and value for our troops that I call upon HRH King Charles to cancel his upcoming state visit to the United States of America. This act would send a powerful message that the United Kingdom does not condone such public denigration of our armed forces. It is imperative that King Charles stands up to President Trump and conveys that unnecessary disparagement of our troops is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, our current Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, has not taken a firm stand or demanded a public apology for these disrespectful statements. As citizens who respect and honour our military, we cannot remain silent.

Our troops deserve unwavering support from both our leaders and our nation. By choosing not to engage on the diplomatic front, King Charles can effectively demonstrate our nation's disdain for such rhetoric, and renew the global respect our troops deserve.

We must act now to protect the dignity of our armed forces and reassure them of our unwavering respect and support. Let us urge King Charles to make this bold move in defense of the integrity and honour of our troops.
