We call upon Texas Governor Greg Abbott to enable democracy in education by bringing private school vouchers to a public vote. At the HB3 Hearing 68% of the people who signed up to speak were AGAINST it.  This policy, controversial and hotly debated, impacts Texas families greatly and should not be decided solely by elected officials.

Especially those, like Gov Abbott who has taken over 16 Million dollars in campaign donations from Jeff Yass (out of state voucher pusher from Pennsylvania)

Consequently, the weight of this decision should rest with the people of Texas. Let us voice our opinions and determine our state's educational path forward. Hence, we urge Governor Greg Abbott to respect Texans' right to choose their future and push this issue to a public vote.
