More than 300 million people worldwide celebrate Nowruz—the first day of spring and a cornerstone of cultural heritage in regions spanning from the Middle East and Central Asia to communities worldwide. Nowruz, a celebration over 3,000 years old, embodies the universal themes of renewal, hope, justice, harmony with nature, and human dignity.

In recognition of its profound cultural significance, the United Nations officially marked the International Day of Nowruz, while UNESCO has designated it as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Despite this global acknowledgment, Nowruz is sadly absent from many default Google Calendar as well as Apple holiday lists. 

This omission is not just an oversight—it is a missed opportunity for two of the world's largest and most influential tech companies to embrace cultural diversity and inclusivity.
