As a constituent deeply concerned about the sanctity of our democratic processes, I am calling on Danny Kruger to step down as an MP following his recent defection to the Reform Party. His change of allegiance raises essential questions about the validity of his current mandate to represent the people of East Wiltshire under his new party banner. 

When we cast our votes in the last election, we voted for a representative who was aligned with the values and manifesto of the Conservative Party. Danny Kruger's defection to the Reform Party signifies a fundamental shift in his political stance and obligations, which were not part of what the electorate in East Wiltshire endorsed. Such a significant change in political direction necessitates a re-examination of his mandate through a by-election, allowing the constituents to either affirm or reject his continued representation.

Elected officials are entrusted with the voice of their constituents, a role that must reflect the will of those who propelled them into office. In the interest of maintaining democratic integrity and ensuring that East Wiltshire's voice is genuinely represented, it is imperative that we have the opportunity to reassess our choice in light of this new development.
