📢 Petition Update: Costco Christchurch Campaign

As many of you know, our campaign to bring Costco to Christchurch continues to gain momentum. To help strengthen our case, I recently travelled to Auckland's Westgate Costco warehouse to conduct some firsthand research.

This wasn't just a shopping trip. I needed to investigate the complete Costco experience, including:

✅ Product pricing and value
✅ Membership rebates and benefits
✅ Product samples and in-store offerings
✅ Traffic flow into the warehouse
✅ Customer foot traffic and store activity
✅ How busy the store is across different days and times
✅ Price comparisons against Pak'nSave and Woolworths

I am delighted to report that Costco passes with flying colours.

The warehouse was busy, well-run, and delivered exactly the kind of value and shopping experience that many Cantabrians have been asking for. The staff were friendly, helpful, and a credit to the business.
