Urge City Plan Board to Oppose Zoning LD24-116 LVC/LD24-117ZON

Urge City Plan Board to Oppose Zoning LD24-116 LVC/LD24-117ZON
The Issue
My name is Natasha Rattray. As a second-year student at the University of Florida, my experiences and observations make this city more than just a place to me. It's home; a community that faces significant challenges, particularly for its vulnerable population. The distinct yet intertwined lives of students and vulnerable individuals, their conditions, exert a significant influence on Gainesville's socio-economic fabric. Which is why I urge opposition to the Land Use/Zoning of the area on University Ave where DJ Cast Iron Burgers and other local business are able to conduct daily activities!
The City of Gainesville has scheduled a public hearing on February 26 from 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM at City Hall. We are extended opportunities to attend in person, submit an online comment, or voice our concerns via phone to the City Commission at (352) 334-5015.
Every voice counts and each comment carries the potential to steer decisions that will significantly impact our lives, and those of the city's most vulnerable residents.
Attending this hearing isn’t merely about making our voices heard, it’s about amplifying the voices from the margins. It is a call to city officials to examine the effects their decisions will have on those most vulnerable. Here is a chance to promote a fair and just city plan, considerate of every resident's needs.
Let's rally around this cause, sign this petition to urge the Gainesville City Plan Board to consider the impact of their decisions on vulnerable populations.
