Today Xavier and I went on a trip around the Central Coast to trial some of the suggested equipment that they would like to replace the liberty Swing with.
Our first stop Was McKenzie reserve at Budgewoi where we used to attend the previously installed Liberty swing regularly.
The Central Coast Council replaced it with what they suggest is an accessible and inclusive rocker.
It is anything but accessible and inclusive.

As you can see from the attached picture, there is no safe way to independently transfer a wheelchair user onto the Rocker with an at least 30cm gap between the rocker and ground.

if you were lucky enough to have additional people with you it would require at least three people to somewhat safely be transferred onto the Rocker and there is still an at least 10cm gap with two people pushing it down. It would require the same to get off with a steep unsafe drop.
This would also require children on the other end of the rocker to be removed from the equipment for the transfer of the wheelchair user of which is easier said than done at a public park.

There is also no safe way to tie down the wheelchair to the rocker so all it takes is a few silly excited children, or the wheelchair brakes failing and the wheelchair and person using it could go flying off this equipment that is quite high from the ground of which could cause life threatening injuries is the heavy chair flipped on top of the person in it
