We, the Canadian Bangladeshis are impacted by the current state of Bangladesh. Our birthland is living under a ruthless regime that has been in power for over two decades unfairly. Now, this regime has gone to the extent of orchestrating mass killings, with the devastation still continuing. The streets of Bangladesh are echoing with the cries for justice as innocent students demand the elimination of the QUOTA system, only to face brutality. In a move reminiscent of dictatorial measures, the government even shut down the internet for five straight days, keeping the world in the dark about these atrocities. 

The scenario in Bangladesh now mirrors a second holocaust. Heinous crimes are being committed and the world needs to know. The international community, with countries like Canada leading the way, has a responsibility to enforce actions that reflect on these injustices.

We urge the Canadian government & United Nation to uphold its image of standing up for human rights and put pressure on the government of Bangladesh to step down. This action would highlight the stark violations in Bangladesh and require timely interference from international organizations and countries committed to preserving justice and human liberty.
