Over on the new Facebook discussion group, two people who attended last Monday’s exhibition about the Town Deal in the Market Hall are discussingthe new Goole to Howden Hoppa bus service. On the face of it, this seems a good development. However, one of those who attended the exhibition was told that Town Deal money could not be used for a sporting village because the money has to be used for the town centre, which led to the question of how a bus service to Howden via the industrial estate and Airmyn is developing the town centre. It is suggested that Siemens were promised good public transport to Leeds, which have not happened, so Town Deal money is being used to get workers to the Siemens factory via Howden station.
