I’ve now set up a FB group “Make Goole Town Deal Better” so people can share thoughts, ideas, comments and experiences regarding the Town Deal. The administrator is my FB display name, Nathaniel Rhisiart Caradine. Some pictures of the displays at the exhibition in the Market Hall on Monday 27th have been posted to facilitate discussion.

Speaking of the Market Hall exhibition on Monday, somebody told me that they had expressed significant concerns about the impact of the VPG proposals on the area, parking, traffic, noise, pollution. They also said they asked whether England Athletics supports the plans to destroy the running track. They were told , they said by a Town Deal Board member of ERYC staff, that England Athletics do now support the plans to destroy the 400m track. I contacted Goole Youth Athletics Club, who checked with England Athletics. Ed Hunt, England Athletics Planning and Facilities Manager replied that England Athletics remains opposed to the plans to destroy the 400m running track. The willingness of ERYC, GTC and GTDB to misrepresent the facts in order to drive through what they want is striking.
