Urge Australia to Revoke Residency of Relatives of Islamic Regime Officials

The issue

The continued presence of relatives and close associates of Islamic Republic officials on Australian soil raises serious moral, legal, and ethical concerns.

While the Iranian people endure brutal repression, imprisonment, and mass killings at the hands of the Islamic Republic, many family members and beneficiaries of this regime enjoy safety, stability, and opportunity in democratic countries like Australia. This contradiction undermines the values Australia claims to uphold: justice, accountability, and human rights.

These individuals may not hold official titles, yet they benefit directly from a system built on violence, corruption, and systematic human rights abuses. Allowing them to reside, work, study, and invest freely in Australia sends a damaging message: that those connected to oppressive power can escape consequences while victims are left without justice.

We call on the Australian Government to immediately review the residency, visa status, and privileges granted to relatives and close affiliates of Islamic Republic officials currently living in Australia. Where appropriate, these privileges must be revoked in accordance with Australian law and international human rights obligations.

Australia must not become a safe haven for those who profit from or are complicit in one of the world’s most brutal regimes. Taking action is not an act of discrimination; it is an act of accountability.

By signing this petition, you are urging the Australian Government to stand on the right side of history and ensure that Australia does not shelter those connected to crimes against humanity.
