I am an Assyrian and am proud of my heritage. However, I, like many other Assyrians, feel overlooked as we lack a flag emoji representation for our nationality in Apple's current emoji set. The importance of representation cannot be overstated, especially when everyone else seems to have got their flags. It's disheartening to see that while there are 268 flag emojis currently offered by Apple, there isn't one representing the Assyrian Nation, which has a rich history stretching back over 6700 years. This omission not only fails to acknowledge our existence but also denies our cultural diversity and our integral part of the world's history. This is a friendly request to Apple to extend its inclusivity and diversity by adding an Assyrian flag emoji into their icon set. Please lend your voice to this cause and together, let’s tell Apple our pride. Sign this petition and help us get an Assyrian flag emoji.
