Our city of Oxford has a unique bond with Palestine (twinned with the city of Ramallah). This connection makes the ongoing conflict in Gaza deeply personal to us. The humanitarian disaster unfolding there is heart-wrenching and demands our immediate attention.

Over 10,000 civilians have been killed, including 5,000 innocent children.One child is killed every 10 minutes according to the WHO. 

Hospitals are being targeted and destroyed - places that should be sanctuaries of healing have turned into scenes of devastation. This isn't just an attack on infrastructure; it's an assault on human rights and dignity.

Annaliese Dodds MP represents us, the people of Oxford East. We urge her to use her influence and platform to call for an immediate cease fire in Gaza. The world cannot stand by as this tragedy continues unabated.

We believe that every life is precious and must be protected - regardless of nationality or political affiliation. It's time for our leaders to step up and take action against this genocide.
