The issue

For decades, Stargate has been a beacon of intrigue and imagination, capturing the hearts of millions. As a dedicated fan, I've found solace and excitement in every episode of Stargate SG-1, Atlantis, and Universe. Each time I hit play, I am not alone—countless fans revisit these world-expanding narratives, relentlessly supporting the series and elevating the entire brand. Yet despite this enduring enthusiasm, MGM, Amazon, and Prime have opted to cancel the latest installment of this cherished franchise.

Our passion for Stargate is undeniable. The well-constructed storylines and rich mythology have a massive and loyal audience ready and willing to embrace new content. The existing fan base does more than just watch; we contribute to long-term financial gains by continuously revisiting older series and promoting them within our communities. We believe in the potential of a new Stargate series capable of moving the franchise forward, provided it maintains the quality and spirit that we adored.

It is both bewildering and disheartening that this potential has been overlooked. MGM and its partners should recognize that the countless fans are a testament to what new episodes could achieve. We urge decision-makers to understand this significant potential and reconsider their decision.

With some of the best storytellers available at their disposal, there is no doubt a new Stargate series could capture the imagination of both longtime fans and newcomers alike. We do not need glitz or gimmicks; we seek a compelling story, respect for the lore, and, above all, new adventures that recapture the magic of exploring the cosmos through the Stargate.

Stand with us as we call for Amazon, Amazon Prime, and MGM to take action and reconsider their decision. Sign the petition if you believe in Stargate's thriving future. Together, we can illuminate the path for new stories to be told.
