The resurgence of college football video games has reignited a love for college sporting video games for many of us who not only reminisce about playing the classic college basketball, football, and even baseball games but still play them. It's been several years since we've had the joy of experiencing updates to these game series, leaving a void that only a dedicated college football video game can fill. For years, fans like me have eagerly anticipated a new college basketball game, only to be let down by another company's corporate maneuvering.

2K Sports, Take-Two Interactive, and their affiliates currently hold the rights that prevent EA Sports from producing a college basketball game. This has stifled the gaming community's desire for the nostalgia and excitement that only a college sports game can bring. Recent studies show that there are over 40 million avid gamers in the U.S. who enjoy sports video games, and a significant portion of them are eager for the return of a college basketball series. 

The lack of new college basketball games has left fans yearning for the opportunity to relive the excitement of their alma mater's glory days on the digital court. Basketball is a major part of college life in America, with nearly a million high school athletes engaging in the sport nationwide. By not allowing the production of a college basketball game, 2K Sports neglects a passionate and dedicated fan base.

We urge 2K Sports, Take-Two Interactive, and their affiliates to either commit to developing a full, standalone college basketball game themselves or relinquish their rights to allow EA Sports, a company with a rich history of excellent sports games, to bring us what we’ve been craving for over a decade.

We are not just players; we are fans, enthusiasts, and nostalgic supporters of college sports. It's time to bring back the thrilling experience of college basketball gaming.
