As a part of the most popular sport worldwide (in participation numbers) and being a part of the local sporting community we believe we as a committee and as a club to make significant changes for the betterment of the sport, our members and to encourage more growth within the sport and throughout the local community.

We believe that an simple upgrade of safe fencing around our ground will help ensure the safety for players, officials and supporters. Our committee has been working tirelessly on this upgrade for over 10months with letters of support from governing bodies such as Football Saint George and Football NSW. We have been in constant talks with football NSW in regards to getting a 50/50 grant where Football NSW pays 50% of the total costs and the club will have to fund the rest. We believe with the amount of sponsorship we have managed financially gain as a community club to fund the rest of the amount.

Unfortunately due to current red tape issues with local councils, this has become a hurdle that we are struggling to jump. We believe taking it to our members and hopefully other members from other sporting codes who use olds park to sign this petition to push through a much needed upgrade to our beloved football pitch.
