Thank you SO much to everyone who has already signed and shared the petition to fix the Narangba rail crossing and adjoining intersections. We are currently at 1,790 signatures – and I’d love to hit 2,000 by Monday, when I’m meeting with Shane King to discuss this issue.
This petition is more than just a list of names. Petitions show the people in power that we care, and that the community is watching. Numbers matter – they show that this isn’t a small inconvenience for a few people, but a major issue that affects thousands of locals every single day.
The intersections at Mackie Rd & Burpengary Rd, Main St & Mumford Rd and the rail crossing at Narangba Station are an absolute mess. It can take up to 15 minutes just to move 100 metres in peak times. That’s time we’re wasting in traffic instead of being with our families, running our businesses, or doing anything better than staring at a set of lights.
These traffic delays don’t just affect our stress levels – they have a real impact:
🚨 Emergency services are delayed
🏪 Local businesses lose customers
🚗 More cars stuck longer means more emissions and road congestion
This is a growing area and it desperately needs infrastructure that can keep up.
