This could make a big difference to thousands of students who attend schools in the area.

There's heavy congestion from the military base, airport traffic, parents from several nearby schools, and others who are regularly rushing through the Pritchard and Guthrie 4-way-stop. There have been accidents and close calls for students trying to cross during peak hours at Highland Secondary. This situation calls for action to improve infrastructure at this intersection.

By installing a roundabout or street-lights, we can significantly reduce the risk of incidents for community members commuting on this route. According to ICBC statistics, intersections with improved traffic control measures see up to a 30% reduction in collisions. Prioritizing safety enhancements means fewer crashes or injuries, fewer damaged and wrecked cars, and fewer insurance claims (ICBC).
