Our family, like many others in Harmony, Alberta are passionate about wheeled sports and frequently use the pump tracks around the city of Calgary. Sadly, our local Harmony pump track is currently in a state of neglect, with numerous holes and an overall lack of upkeep posing a serious safety risk to its users.

Not only are these conditions dangerous, but they also prevent our community from being able to enjoy and benefit from the track to its fullest potential. Having a racing-standard track, similar to those used in the Red Bull Pump Track World Championship, would provide a high quality, safe place for users of all ages and skill levels to train and have fun. 

We believe that the Owners Association of Harmony should prioritize improving the track, and this renovation can best be achieved by actively involving our vibrant local cycling and parks development community. A recent survey showed that Calgary’s cycling community has more than doubled in the last five years, indicating a steady increase in the need for high-quality infrastructure (Calgary Cycling Association, 2021 Data Report). 

We are requesting the Owners Association to carry out the necessary improvements to ensure the safety of residents and promote sports in our community. Let’s make Harmony's pump track a place all resident cyclists, scooter users, and skateboarders can be proud of.  Paving the Harmony pump track to create an all wheeled track will benefit all community members and be a draw to others to invest in our community.
