ADDITIONAL FUNDING ANNOUNCED

Hello Community
Nathan Hagarty MP for Leppington announced additional funding for Fifteenth Avenue and Elizabeth Drive roadworks last week.
"Every day I hear from families and businesses frustrated by traffic congestion 🚗
After years of underinvestment in Western Sydney, I'm proud to announce that the NSW and Australian Labor Governments have committed an additional $600 million to fast-track upgrades to Fifteenth Avenue and Elizabeth Drive, bringing construction forward by a full year.
Fifteenth Avenue Upgrade:
• Additional $400 million, bringing total project funding to $1.4 billion
• Improved bus infrastructure and planning for future public transport services
• Extension of Edmondson Avenue included in the project scope
Elizabeth Drive Upgrade
• Additional $200 million, bringing total project funding to $1 billion
• 1.5 kilometres of additional road duplication between South Creek and the M12 interchange
• New signalised intersection at Clifton Avenue
This funding means people will spend less time stuck in traffic and more time with their families, while improving connections to jobs, housing and Western Sydney International Airport.
This is a major step forward for South West Sydney and another important investment in the infrastructure our growing communities need."
This is great news for our community and our areaas we definitely need the funding and we also need these road upgrades to start.
Kind Regards
