Cypress Field has been a personal practice ground for many local athletes, myself included. However, the lack of proper maintenance has turned this once safe space into a potential safety hazard.

Currently, the state of the field exposes users to uneven terrain, protruding stones, and patches of hard-packed soil. Such conditions are not only disruptive to activities but can also cause severe injuries - from sprains to more serious bone fractures. According to the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, the rate of injuries on poorly maintained grass fields is significantly higher than on well-maintained synthetic turf (Mary S., 2018).

Installing artificial turf at Cypress Field will not only improve the safety of the participants but can also enhance performance, as turf fields are more consistent and predictable in texture. This will allow athletes to focus less on the integrity of the field and more on improving their skills.
