The Parkview Surgery Family Health Center, located in Lewisham, London, is a vital pillar of our community's healthcare system. However, it has become increasingly apparent that the center is struggling to accommodate the growing needs of our community due to its limited capacity. This issue affects our ability to cater to the health needs of the growing population. 

According to data from Lewisham Council, our borough's population has grown by 12% over the last decade (Lewisham Council Population Report). This growth rate outpaces that of many other areas in London and places significant strain on local healthcare facilities like Parkview Surgery

Furthermore, with an ageing population - 16% are aged 65 and over (Office for National Statistics) - there is an increasing demand for health services. It's crucial that we ensure adequate capacity at our health centers to meet this demand.

By upgrading and expanding Parkview Surgery Family Health Center, we can improve access to essential health services for all residents in Lewisham. We urge local authorities and health service providers to take immediate action on this matter.

We have applied for planning permission but despite the council accepting the above need it was refused due to "not being in keeping with the building" this is strange as there is presidency along the street of huge development not in keeping with the buildings.

The local health authority have also refused funding stating it is not part of their estate strategy. However they have not offered any  other solutions in the last 10 years.
