The new address proposed for Algarve House is very confusing. This is both for existing neighbours and it will be the same for the new residents. The new address will cause problems and confusion with mail delivery, and risks a financial impact on people’s credit scores. 

Given that Royal Mail can change the post code, this is an easy solution. It is a simple change now before people move in, but difficult later.

We petition Southern Housing and Wandsworth Council (Street Naming and Numbering) to please use the easy Royal Mail online form to assign a different post code. 

This should ideally be a brand new post code, dedicated to Algarve House. 

The new post code will also help the emergency services find the location, because the entrance to 1A Algarve Road is far from the rest of the addresses with the current confusing post code. It’s a potential benefit that can save lives.
