Update on Pleasant Prairie Boat/Trailer Ordinance Petition

Pleasant Prairie boat/trailer ordinance update: I finally received a response from the Village. Trustee Matt Henby requested that staff prepare a resolution to begin reviewing possible amendments to Section 420.49 of the Village Code. That resolution is tentatively scheduled for the August 24th Village Board meeting. This does not mean the ordinance has been changed yet, but it is a step in the right direction. If approved, the process would continue through staff review, Plan Commission/public hearing, and then back to the Village Board for final action. Our petition is now approaching 450 signatures, showing this is not just one resident’s concern.
