Leaked government documents reveal the government plans to scrape several bus services in the Randwick/Kensington/Coogee area in favour of the CBD and South East Light Rail. The biggest blow is the axing of the express 891 and 893 services between UNSW and Central Station. UNSW students unanimously agree that the 891 and 893 are more convenient and much faster public transport methods. By axing these convenient bus services in favour of putting a sluggish, infrequent light rail service, the government has failed to properly listen to, or consult, its people. We need UNSW students to send a clear message to the NSW government that we want to keep these bus services. 

Also, the other bus services are frequently used by UNSW students in addition to the local community. Their discontinuation will cause confusion and delay in the South East.
