Partial Refund for University of Westminster Students for 2020-2021 Academic Year

Partial Refund for University of Westminster Students for 2020-2021 Academic Year

The Issue

Due to COVID-19, UoW announced that most teaching will be delivered online in the coming academic term with only a small portion of classes being delivered in person. This is not worthy of up to £25500 for international students, and up to £9250 for local UK students: Students are not offered proper resources and facilities through online teaching. A significantly lower amount of venues, electricity, and maintenance will be used since there will be no large group teaching. Considering the weakening of the global economy, it is unreasonable to expect students, especially internationals that most likely will not even be able to be present in London to pay up to £25500 where teaching is only online without using any facilities. Therefore a partial-refund is a fair compromise.
