UToledo Should Refund Campus Fees Including Parking Permits

UToledo Should Refund Campus Fees Including Parking Permits
The Issue
Students have received emails that we would not be refunded for our parking permits for the Spring 2020 semester, despite only being able to access the campus parking lots for half of the semester due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Classes that relied on physical labs, production studios or other equipment have been severely impacted by the switch to online learning. These fees described as “tech fees” for on campus studios, labs and equipment that students could not access for more than half the semester should be refunded to some extent.
UToledo has acknowledged that many students have lost on campus and off campus jobs and are facing financial hardships due to the pandemic. Refunding these various fees would give some relief to students who are no longer physically attending the UToledo campus and accessing on campus parking lots or facilities.
