Due to COVID-19, the University of the Pacific has decided to move classes online, and remove students from all dormitories. Due to this, students are understandably asking for a partial refund for room and board, as not only are they not allowed back on campus, this also means they will not be able to use the remainder of their meal plan. In addition, because online learning seriously detracts from the learning process and makes, in some cases, classes incredibly difficult (such as labs), many students feel they are not getting the higher education they paid for.

Students are asking for a partial refund of tuition and room and board as compensation for both of these issues.
