Due to the corona virus outbreak, plenty of students have been hit hard. Their parents have either passed away or have been retrenched, making it difficult for them to continue paying tuition. The education that students have been receiving during this period has not been up to standard and is simply not worth the exorbitant amount that UFS is charging. There are no lecturers or tutors around to help most of the students and they are left to fend for themselves. Which is why UFS needs to lower the tuition fees for 2020

It is also unfair for students to be paying fees for residences when they have not been living on campus for the last few months and are not using the facilities in any way. 

So we are hoping that this petition will show UFS that what they are charging students for is costly and is having a negative and strenous effect on the students lives and the lives of their families.
