Create more study spaces in the Diamond

The Issue

The Diamond is the university's new flagship building, costing over £81 million, however priority has been given to its form over its function. Vast spaces are left empty while expensive designer chairs are an inefficient use of remaining space. All the while students struggle to find a free place to study, especially in the lead up to exams. We believe the purpose of the building should be to provide a space for students to study, not just to look good on open days.

We are asking the University to utilise the empty spaces to introduce more seating throughout the Diamond, which will ensure every student will be able to find a free desk. If you agree with this, please sign our petition.

Thanks
