Students at the University of Saskatchewan were forced to take online classes and labs in the place of in-person classes and labs from March 19th, 2020 until the end of the Winter term due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This change in delivery of educational content will affect the grades of many students as they attempt to transition to remote delivery. As well, due to exams being delivered remotely, there is a strong opportunity for cheating and the grades achieved on the final exams would not be an accurate representation of the students' abilities in the class. Students attending the University of Regina recently held a similar petition, and the result was the University of Regina allowing students to either take a final grade or a pass/fail grade for each of their classes. This is a petition directed towards the University of Saskatchewan, which acts as an appeal for students to have the opportunity to accept either a pass or a fail in the classes they are taking during the 2020 Winter term.
