COVID-19 - MOVE UNIVERSITY DEADLINES TO THE AUGUST RESIT PERIOD!

These are unprecedented times. We are seeing and hearing this all over the media from all world leaders, some comparing the current situation to War times. Yet third year university students are being told to carry on with our assessments with no extensions given!

Alevels and GCSE students have been given support and alternatives, but we have been left with near to no guidance or support.

Unfortunately this keep calm and carry on mantra is not an option. Many students have caring responsibilities, health issues both mental and physical. Some are experiencing financial difficulties due to lack of work and are stuggling to pay rent. Additionally, there are a large amount of students who rely on the university's library to do their work and know are facing a lack of access to sufficient resources due to closures. All of these issues are leaving many students at a massive disadvantage.

We should be allowed to deal with this situation without the pressure of current deadlines.

I am requesting for all assessment  deadlines to be moved to the AUGUST RESIT PERIOD.
