Penn asking to lift restrictions on demolition.

The near neighbors to the historic mansion at 40th and Pine would like your help and support this FRIDAY, JANUARY 9, 2015, at 1515 ARCH STREET, ROOM 18-029 (18th Floor). On that date, Penn's lawyer will be asking the Historical Commission to allow the demolition of the historic mansion on an expedited basis. The Commonwealth Court has scheduled to hear our appeal on February 10, 2015, at which time we will try to overturn the demolition approval. Is Penn trying to circumvent the appeals process? Their lawyer says, "no, not at all" - but then why the rush? Would you trust them? We don't. The hearing starts at at 9:00am and we hope you can make it for the beginning. But there are other properties on the agenda so we don't expect the mansion to come up until about 10am. So if you can only get there by 10am, please still attend. We're not asking you to testify, just to come and show your support for saving the mansion.
