The University of Limerick has introduced shared housing within its on campus villages , these will consist of shared bedrooms. The University is now only allowing second and third year students shared bedrooms within the on campus student villages instead of remaining a first come first serve basis with EQUAL OPPORTUNITY for ALL students! 
 The University is prioritizing its opportunity for gain of capital over its students. With the high demand for housing on and off campus the cost of rent for students is becoming completely impossible to obtain! Students rent costs on campus took a significant rise in cost again this year , and of campus landlords are raising prices due to desperation of renters ! This issue is happening all over the country but limiting certain students to only a certain type of housing is completely RIDICULOUS! If you’re going to shaft us , shaft us all THE SAME ! The campus life services have ran a first come first serve basis and a raffle system for several years , so why change it now ?
