Covid cases are on the rise again due to the infectious and dangerous Delta variant. Not only are in person classes at UofG not going to be properly distanced, but mask wearing is expected to be enforced by students and profs, potentially putting them in dangerous situations. For these practices to be in place, the only safe course of action is to make vaccines mandatory for all students, staff, and faculty*. Many people are not opposed to the vaccine, but are rather indifferent or unsure, and will not get it unless it is required of them. 

Without mandatory vaccinations, we not only risk going back to fully online classes, but the health of our community. Many members of the UofG community have young children unable to get vaccinated, let’s not make them chose between their job/education and their family’s safety.
