Petition updateA petition to the University of Evansville leadershipMonte Skelton Speaks Out: Save WUEV - Local Jazz and students
Concerned Students and supporters at University of EvansvilleEvansville, IN, United States
Jun 15, 2019

Watch and share this important video now everywhere as top regional jazz artist Monte Skelton speaks out on the pending sale of 91.5 FM WUEV encouraging you to write to the FCC.  For the students and our community, please continue to share this petition, like our Facebook AND Instagram page and Subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

With your awesome help, this petition + social channels are gaining support every day, and we are grateful. The FCC holds non-profit licenses to a higher standard so we still have time (FCC must receive your letter by June 28 or before - see FCC address below as they can decide to stop the sale.) As Monte explains, the Evansville local music scene, jazz scene, and student education will be lost without WUEV.

You don't have to be a musician to make a video, please create your own video of concern to share on social media. OR Email us your video at collegeradiopetition@gmail.com and we will share it.

Videos are helping us tell this story powerfully about this unbelievable action by the University of Evansville going against the wishes of the students, the community, and a history of supporting the community and local music since 1951.

The leaders at UE don't want to see a conversation had. They won't answer why they are selling WUEV for next to nothing. We love our school, but we are perplexed about current leadership at UE, so your support in this trying time matters.

Our community and fellow students thank you for your support and sharing this petition throughout the weekend on your social media and with friends. Thank you,

UE Students
