Help save WUEV! Write to the FCC via standard mail now (address above) as FCC allows these 30 days for us object to WUEV sale & license transfer. Keep reading below & sharing this petition.

FCC holds non-profit stations to a high standard, so your letter can help stop the sale. Some reasons to mention below, please reference the sale of WUEV to WAY FM.

1. The University of Evansville (UE) has NOT yet publicized the 30 day comment period from the start of FCC filing last Wednesday, thus intentionally excluding the community and students from the process and limiting our number of days to object.

2. UE did not allow students and community to be part of the conversation of the sale and refused to meet with us and never fully admitted the sale was being considered of the student's station since 1951.

3. Programming on 91.5 WUEV is not available elsewhere in the Tri-State including award-winning Jazz and Rap and other formats.

4. There aren't other local radio stations that allow local artists to be featured in a way that WUEV does.

5. Award-winning Rated G Children's programming on WUEV is a public service to the community and is not on other stations.

6. WAY FM (the purchaser of WUEV) is already on the air in the Tri-State market on 91.9 FM, so they don't need 91.5 FM WUEV.

7.  UE strategically waited until summer break to announce the sale of WUEV to exclude students from voicing concerns and partaking in the comment period.

8. UE Students are being robbed of free press and one of the only media outlets they have.
