WUEV Supporters:
UE announced initial plans to sell our station, the students' station 91.5 FM WUEV to WAY FM this past week, but the story isn't over as we respectfully urge you to SHARE THIS PETITION YOU SIGNED NOW to help us raise awareness.
Even if you have shared the petition before, the story continues to unfold and it will encourage supporters to advocate for 91.5 WUEV.
If that is all you can do to help us - students at UE- we love you for it! If you have another 2-4 minutes to help, please see below.
HOW TO HELP US NOW
- TheCollegeRadio.com - it directs to our Saving WUEV Facebook page, please share it.
- Please hashtag all posts with #WUEV
- Do you an attorney who is alumni who could help us? We need help filing a brief complaint to the FCC. Email us at collegeradiopetition@gmail.com with attorney suggestions/introductions and we will reply.
- Help us raise concerns to the FCC: We will have more details soon on the official way you can make your comments known to the FCC during what is called the "Comment Period" - it has not started yet, stay tuned!
UE knows they may have an uphill battle with the FCC's approval as the FCC has a high standard of requirements to transfer license on a non-profit frequency.
The University of Evansville administration refused to meet with us to discuss this, but instead sent out statements and press releases which were vague and still aren't explaining the whole story.
The administration waited until our fellow students were gone for the summer to announce their plans to sell WUEV to WAY FM, a big surprise, right? We couldn't rally together as friends and unite to raise concerns.
It was all strategic move by the administration and done in a fashion to intentionally exclude us.
We love our University, we tell people and our parents, "Hey we're good kids, they wouldn't listen or meet with us." They are surprised. Well, it is true.
We thank you for your continued support,
UE Students Supporting 91.5 WUEV
