Many students here at the university of Chester will still need to pay their third term accommodation contract despite moving home given COVID-19. Other accommodation companies have cancelled their students third term rent. 
Cancelling the third term rent will help students have more of an income during COVID-19 as a lot of us will have lost our jobs because we aren’t a key worker or we aren’t in a job that is possible to work from home. For example I am a barmaid on a zero hour contract so I could have an income whilst studying. There are student nurses who are on placement and no getting paid during COVID-19 who will need support, for transport, food and more. There are also students with children who will struggle for income as they become full time home-schooling parents whilst trying to juggle a degree! There are several reasons as to why it is needed during this pandemic!
