Due to the Corona Virus spreading globally, it is impacting the education system. Colleges/Universities are being forced to move all classes online or suspend the entire semester. This means that students that paid for classes on campus will have to suffer dealing with the virtual version. This is not fair to the majority of students because their academic performance will be affected greatly. Some students may not have access to a computer at home or WiFi. Many students resort to the All Knights Study or the library fo complete assignments. Unfortunately, students are not granted the opportunity to use these resources because of restrictions placed due to the corona virus. Further, some students perform better in a classroom rather than online because they’re engaging with their professor and interacting with other students to become more informed about their studies. Also, graduation ceremonies are either being postponed or canceled. What happens to those students who need those two extra classes but are forced to move online where their performance may be below the average level? To solve this, UCF should pass all of their students for the spring semester instead of forcing all of them to go online. Some classes are not easy to comprehend through a software. For example: Chemistry, Anatomy, and Biology. These courses come with labs. You have to be hands-on in the lab to understand what is going on. Please help UCF students by signing this petition.
