Hello,
A peaceful protest to Save Sunrise Glossies will be held this Monday 5 June 9am at 1 Grasstree Court, 'World Environment Day'.
The protest is to oppose the second stage (Lot 9) of the Grasstree Court, Sunrise Beach development that will destroy five hectares of critical endangered habitat for the ‘vulnerable to extinction’ Glossy Black Cockatoo as well as many other endangered species. The Uniting Church plans to start destruction of this critical habitat on Monday. This highlights how our weak environmental laws are failing us and our wildlife.
On World Environment Day we should be protecting our earth not destroying it.
This protest will send a strong message to the Uniting Church, Lendlease, Noosa Council, the state and federal government what the community thinks about this habitat destruction.
There will also be guest speakers on the day including Natalie Frost from the Qld Conservation Council.
This is our last chance to Save Sunrise Glossies. We need this to go viral so please share this everywhere and get all your friends and family to come.
It would be really brilliant if you could come to show your support for our environment.
For those who can't come you can help by writing a letter to Minister Tanya Plibersek and Minister Leanne Linard at tanya.plibersek.mp@aph.gov.au,

Thank-you
