To whom it may concern,

RE: I disagree with fracking in San Luis Obispo County on our land and water.

The time is today to say "NO "to big oil in San Luis Obispo County. Image living next to the beautiful ocean in Pismo Beach on one side of your home and on the other side is the sick Pismo Creek from an ongoing oil spill in the water. In order to quickly explain the contamination levels of the Pismo Creek to you in an relevant way, in particular is that a young man fell into the Pismo Creek and came down with a 3rd world fatal disease.

With that said, that is my reality in Pismo Beach, 1/12 miles from the Arroyo Grande Oil Field. We all live with the fear of some homeless person that lives near the banks of the water throwing something in the water and it sets it on fire and explodes.

Meanwhile, the variety of fracking chemicals and the instability of the heavy oil structure pattern from the oil industry up the street from me and their amazing floating tar sands oil or does it sink theory comes into question, once again.

The heavy bitumen oil will floats for a short period and it ultimately sinks to the bottom of the creek due to the dense substance of the fracking material along side the sediment and organic matter which will help the heavy bitumen oil sink even faster to the bottom, which makes it obviously harder to clean up because you don't know where it is and the cleanup can take years and cost billions of dollars.

This scene of sinking heavy bitumen tar sands oil can happen anywhere around the proposed locations near the coast in San Luis Obispo County. The public's health is at risk when an oil field or refineries are build in communities next to parks, schools, senior centers, daycare centers, homes and businesses. And even in the ocean.

These oil fields/refineries spell a daily dose of misery to people who live, work or visit on a daily bases over time these people will develop chronic illnesses that can never be cured and some may die from their exposures to the deadly chemical's from the oil fields and refineries.

No amount of money is worth a life. I ask you what is your brain, spine, heart, lungs, liver, kidney or reproduction organs are worth? By assessing the human health effects, it should be enough for you to vote against this death trap in our County.

Not to mention the major marine life exposures and the potential impact of a spill. We will never return to normal living again, if the unthinkable happens.

The people that live near the coast take pride in living in a beautiful location in California, yet every time the wind blows from north to south from the ocean breeze, we will be exposed to airborne particles of crude oil causing long term respiratory problems, eyes problems, throat problems, neurological problems and even cancer. Who wants to live in a community that demands you wear a face mask or respirator each time you went outside to pick up your mail!

What we see everyday around this county is samples of the aftermaths of massive oil spills/and fires that have left a devastated effect on our county, that can never be undone. Our birds eye view of these spills have wiped out local cities and even in 2 cases it is still visible 100 years later in San Luis Obispo County.

My ultimate question is, who is the author to continue ruining and decaying a county that has seen its fair share of oil spills throughout the years. If we can not be recognized for our arguments against new and expanded oil fields/refineries, then what do we have left to do. Sue the City, State and Federal Government for catastrophic injury to property/ person/s and racial discrimination laws.

We are more then ready to do so if necessary. We trust that you will make this decisions according to the civil rights laws of environmental racism and not ignoring or turning a blind eye to the fact of building these dangerous facilities near protected classes of people according to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is an immoral and illegal thing to do.

In addition, we will not tolerate legally required deadline dates to be uphold with numerous court continuances and postponements from the other side. We are ready and waiting to fight this environmental injustice in the Supreme Court if necessary.

The environmental crimes these oil companies want to create will find themselves on the other side of corporate accountability and liability to the citizens in San Luis Obispo County and soon anywhere in the world.

This impunity must end today.
