Hello to all, thank you to those who have continued to check up on the Gonzalez Family and those who have helped me with obtaining necessary information. The intersection has been closely monitored and the Miami Dade Publics Works is putting in a request for funds to add "Do Not Block" signs on each of the corners of the intersection at Ives Dairy Road and San Simeon Way. While I believe more should be done, We do believe this is a good start. Unfortunately, there has been ATLEAST 8 accidents at the same spot since my brothers passing, including one this past week. I think there should be more media covering the crashes that are occur so we can bring awareness to the gravity of this problem. I ask anyone who sees any accidents at the intersection to call the WSVN Help Desk at (305) 795-2777 and tell them there is a crash happening at a deadly intersection in Miami Dade Ives Dairy Road and 10th Ave San Simeon Way. Channel 7 will either send someone out to cover the story or at least take down the information. Thank You to anyone in advance who does this, as it will help shed light to the seriousness of the issue. Moving on, the "In Memory of Joshua Gonzalez" "Mile Marker Memorial Sign" has been approved and will be installed soon at the location of the accident. We are still working on getting permission to do more at the intersection like install a memorial bench. We would like to again thank everyone who has continued to check on us and a special thank you to the group from the GreenBrook Community that has helped me along this process. I will be posting another update once the memorial sign is installed. We in the Gonzalez Family are still trying to navigate these tough times and stick together as a family to make it through.
