We have been informed and confirmed that John Askey has filed a Federal lawsuit against the Lincoln County Sheriff John Cottle and the Lincoln County Sheriffs Department in the United States District Court in the Eastern District of Missouri Case Number 4:17CV772DDN. These sources confirm that the suit was filed on February 21, 2017 for multiple, ongoing violations of the federal wiretapping statutes! Sources went on to confirm that confidential attorney client privileged communications were accessed in violation of Federal Law by the Lincoln County Sheriffs Department for Leah Askey. The Prosecuting Attorney Leah Askey and the Sheriffs Department then used those confidential communications in three subsequent cases including the Framing of Russ Faria. On top of that Leah Askey used the illegally accessed information to gain an advantage in a personal lawsuit. Sheriff Cottle is having an open house Thursday night between 6-7:30 PM and jail tour. Cottle is attempting to plead with the public to pass a sales tax for expanding the jail. This is an obvious attempt to gain financial security off of jailing more people. Is it not enough that Missouri is already the heart of the United States Prison Belt? The United States has more people in prison than any country in history including the Nazi's during World War II and all other modern nations combined. Sheriff Cottle’s Motto , “If it saves us money, makes us money and/or you know in your hearts it is the right thing to do, then do it!” Is that a warm socially minded heart or a cold sinister heart sheriff? What happened to protecting and serving the public? Sheriff Cottle is trying to have a 411 based on false information. Seems we need to call a 911 on Sheriff John Cottle. Prison for profit is wrong because it creates a demand for prisoners. If there is a financial gain to fill a bed logic dictates someone will make sure it happens. We have seen your model create fake crime. Your model does not prevent real crime or make us safer. Sheriff John Cottle is the most un-American man in the United States. Americans have long valued freedom and justice as a fundamental value enshrined in our constitution. John Cottle instead plots and plans to incarcerate as many as possible so he and his cohorts can get a raise. It is unconscionable! Sheriff John Cottle , we suggest you read the Constitution. You do not deserve a raise and no we do not want more prisoners who will sue the County for your money making schemes. They have lost three major cases already with more suits everyday. Any money you have now needs to go to pay off your victims. Where is the independent audit of the Lincoln County sheriff Department and Courts? You must first prove integrity and real need before you plead for tax money. Why has a Judge and an assistant prosecutor been suspended with more likely top Lincoln County officials to come? Lincoln County put an innocent man in solitary confinement for 23 years for an alleged spanking when he was not even there. Then there is the framing of Russ Faria!!!!!! Shouldn’t the detectives who gave false testimony been fired not given a raise? Asking for more tax dollars from those you intend to victimize takes a standard of entitlement unsurpassed!
