Tell USDA: protect our bees and our food

Tell USDA: protect our bees and our food
The Issue
Let’s send a message to the USDA that killing bees and endangering our food supply is not okay!
FACT: More than one in three bites of food humans eat is made possible by bees. Here’s a list of some of the fruits and vegetables you wouldn’t be able to eat without bees, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_crop_plants_pollinated_by_bees
During the first week of July 2019, online news media reported an announcement from the USDA (https://www.nass.usda.gov/Newsroom/Notices/2019/07-01-2019.php telling Americans it is now, once again, allowing US farmers and everyone to use a known highly-carcinogenic chemical on the crops we eat every day. On top of this, it’s known to kill bees and the USDA just stopped monitoring bee hives to see how many are dying. With this authorization to use Sulfoxaflor —the bee-killing and people killing pesticide—we are seriously endangering our food supply.
One news article reported that in 2018 about 40 percent of bee hives collapsed—meaning the bees died! If this continues, statistically we might have zero bees within a few years.
The USDA is in league, even being run by, companies like the former Monsanto, which has a new company name, Bayer (yes, the aspirin company). Their only interest is in making a bigger and bigger profit!
While the television news stations are focusing on politics, the bees are dying and they’re not talking about it. I have only found news reports in a few online publications. But this is one of the biggest threats to our health and food that we must take this very seriously! Please join me and sign this petition and share it with a friend.
When we can get 100,000 signatures, I will personally deliver this to the USDA’s headquarters in D.C. I will also use my skills as a former journalist to publicize the fact that so many of us care about this critical issue. Will you join me in changing the course of history for the good of us all? Please sign and let your voice join this chorus.
Learn more about the Bayer-Monsanto connection to our food supply,
Thank you,
