Demand from civil servants to protect our health from toxic chemicals still being used by the Food and Farming Industries--- here and abroad--- polluting the products we eat and our Planet's air, water, and soils.
The Issue
We are well beyond the point of taking legal authority against private companies that manufacture chemicals or use toxins as a standard harvesting method to produce our foods and beverages.
It's time to enforce those laws, i.e. the Endangered Species Act, that were specifically designed to protect all living systems (plants, animals, and human beings).
Our lawmakers are holding important posts. Removing those elected individuals from their seats for not representing the common good of all citizens is our voting right, blessed by the principles of Democracy.
For this reason alone, I petition the citizens of America to take a firm stand against the typical food handling and farming practices of yesteryear. The methodologies of Organic Food processing are proven safer and healthier.
But we cannot wait on private companies to suddenly change tactics, bearing a lot of the costs that are associated with completely overhauling their dependency on chemicals and other ways they've grown accustomed to using.
As an alternative, our Government Officials can provide us with "artificial incentives" such as annual tax write-offs to individual households for every organic purchase made--- effectively shifting the demand in this sector of the market. These industries will cater to our new buying practices whereby changing their practices to organic methodologies more naturally.
How can you support this legislative proposal, called Operation Planet DETOX (OPD)?
1. By educating your lawmakers. Full details can be found on OPD's Facebook Page.
2. By voting for smart and responsible candidates who understand the ramifications of pollution and are taking necessary actions through the legislative body to change the American culture and scope, regarding our daily eating habits and our access to wholesome products.
3. By writing companies, like SYSCO, Inc., a leading provider of processed lunchmeals to our Public Schools.
4. By running for Office, campaigning for organic food tax write-offs for all citizens.
