Reynaldo Polo is a US Army veteran residing in Dominica while his girlfriend, Taimi Perez, attends medical school.  On Sunday, February 21, the couple went on a hike in Glasse in Boetica, a Dominica tourist attraction. While standing near the water for a photo, Taimi was thrown into the ocean by a large wave. Reynaldo selflessly jumped into the ocean to save her, but was swept away by the current.  Since Sunday, Reynaldo has been lost at sea. Dominica coast guard has since been searching, but to no avail. They will cease all search efforts on Saturday, February 26.  Taimi, along with her friends and family have attempted to reach out to the US Coast Guard to continue the search, but have been unsuccessful.  As a former military man who has risked his life - not only for his girlfriend - but for our country, he deserves to have search efforts continue until he is found. It is the least he and his loved ones deserve. We URGE the US Coast Guard to take action in the search for Reynaldo.
