The BBC network reporting on the Massacre on the Anglophone province of Cameroon through an interview with James Newman, who is with the United Nations coordination of humanitarian affairs based in Buea. The attack happened last Friday morning. Villages reported that at 4 am in the morning, a group of armed men entered a village, these men seemed to target two particular locations. These locations harbored largely civilians. These people were executed and their houses burnt down. About 22 villagers killed in this one village. Of these 22, 14 of the were children, 11 of these 14 children were girls. This is a very tragic situation, it is traumatic. The populations have been disproportionately affected by this crises that have been going on for more than 3 years now. The attacks on civilians have escalated and in January alone more than 8000 refugees have fled to Nigeria, a very sharp increase in a short period of time. Eye witnesses are extremely traumatic. This is a remote village, where people felt safe, but now feels very devastated and helpless.
